The Bahamas is a small but highly visible tourist destination, with a large and growing cruise industry. Cruise line companies are now home porting in the capital Nassau, where a whole new cruise dock port is being developed. Alongside the cruise tourism, is a flourishing Islands based tourist vacation market. Targets for visitor numbers are over 7 million per year and growing, 80% from the US, 10% Canada and 10% rest of the world, highlighting the importance for major brands to have not just a presence, but the right presence.
